L 'International Year of Astronomy served to commemorate the great Galileo Galilei that exactly 400 years ago made his observations with the telescope he designed.
The closing ceremony was held in Padova on 9 and 10 January and involved 300 astronomers and thousands and thousands of them were curiosi.Per many amateur telescopes set up for the Observation of Jupiter, just as Galileo did 400 years ago.
